now has it available for pre-order! It looks like a March 1st publication but I think if you pre-order
from Amazon you might even get it faster? I'm not sure how that all works...but
that's what's happened to me in the past. Woohoo!!!!
The Concept
The concept is easy: a fun, edgy knitting book with real life rock n roll models from Hollywood....with patterns full of dropped stitches and deconstructed styles...to prove yet again, that knitting ain't for grannies anymore!
The Models
All of the models in the book are indeed true Hollywood rockers, scenesters, photographers, hair dressers etc. We think it makes the book very exciting and very down to earth! Meet some of them now: Texas Terri, Roy Mayorga, Lesli Matta, the Randies ...to name a few!
Publication Date
Punk Knits will be in all major book shops and hopefully in your Local Yarn Shop in Spring 2007. Stewart, Tabori and Chang are the publishers and the wonderfully talented Melanie Falick (Weekend Knitting, Handknit Holidays) is the editor. Bam13 is the photographer (he's my hubby in case you didn't know that) and I am the main designer along with a few patterns and a whole helluva lot of support from Catheryn Clarke, Lisi Grinstein and Mary Delfin.
